Beach Energy hits gas pay

Australia

ADELAIDE, April 5, 2017 – Australia’s Beach Energy on Wednesday announced the completion of its four-well exploration and appraisal campaign, reporting three separate gas discoveries.

The company’s Mokami-1 well on petroleum exploration licence 91 hit a pay zone of 10.1 metres and tested at 243,552 cubic metres (8.6 mcf) of natural gas plus 93 barrels of liquids per day.

Beach’s Canunda-3 and Crockery-1 wells intersected net gas pays of 2,3 and 7.2 metres, respectively. The discoveries were made as part of the Cooper basin western flank campaign.

For financial year 2018, Beach is planning an “expanded … operated gas drilling programme” that will see the company drill double the number of gas wells dug under its FY2017 campaign.
