Brazil places 218 oil and gas blocks on offer
Brazil The addition of these blocks adds more than 90,000 square kilometres to the country’s prospective plays.
The Brazilian Equatorial Margin sits in the north of the country in deep and ultra-deep waters. All of the five following basins in the region are represented in the offered blocks: Foz do Amazonas, Pará-Maranhão, Barreirinhas, Ceará and Potiguar.
Brazil’s permanent concession offers were created in 2017 and work under an open-door policy whereby companies can bid at any time.
