Cairn and ONGC issue EOI
India As Cairn India’s contract for the Barmer block is valid until May 2020, producing gas from the asset could allow the operator to extend its contract from five to 10 years.
The Barmer Basin produces about 180,000 barrels of oil per day from three main fields: Mangala, Bhagyan and Aishwariya. Last November, Cairn India started a polymer injection programme in the Mangala field to raise output.
