Shell expects a Q3 charge of USD 2 billion-2.5 billion from the recently passed US tax reform bill, but expects future profits to outweigh losses, the super-major said on Wednesday.

CB&I wins Aramco-Shell contract

JUBAIL, December 8, 2017 – CB&I has won an EPC contract worth at least USD 95 million from Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (Sasref), the US company said on Thursday.

The contract is for the modernisation and expansion of the Sasref refinery, which is owned 50% by Saudi Aramco and 50% by Shell.

 

In a statement, Duncan Wigney, CB&I’s executive vice-president of engineering and construction, emphasised the more than decade-long relationship between CB&I and Sasref.

Located in Jubail, the Sasref refinery produces kerosene, naphtha, sulphur and benzene and LPG, among other products.

CB&I previously completed the conceptual design and FEED for the project.
