Cheniere’s Corpus Christi starts up

HOUSTON, November 15, 2018 – LNG production has commenced at Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi facility in Texas, international media reported on Wednesday.
The terminal’s first cargo is expected to depart “soon” on the Golar Tundra LNG tanker, S&P Global Platts reported, citing a company spokesman.
Corpus Christi, which is the country’s third operational LNG export facility to tap shale gas, is expected to eventually reach a peak average output of 22.5 million tonnes per year.
