CNOOC brings Enping 23-1 fields on stream

Situated in the Pearl River Mouth Basin in 90 metres of waters, the fields’ will make use of existing facilities in the Enping 24-2 field. The Enping 23-1 overall development programme calls for the addition of the project to the Enping 23-2, Enping 23-7 and Enping 18-1 fields in an effort to drive regional joint development.
Together, the Enping 23-1, 23-2 and 23-7 boast 13 production wells, three of which are producing. Output currently stands at some 5,600 bopd, and is expected to increase to 24,800 bopd in 2018. The fields are wholly owned by CNOOC.
The start of production at Enping 23-1 comes five days after first production was achieved as part of the Penglai 19-9 comprehensive adjustment project, in which CNOOC and ConocoPhillips hold stakes of 51% and 49%, respectively.
