Crude flows from Northern Iraq resume

ERBIL, April 12, 2017 – The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Natural Resources on Wednesday said that crude exports to Turkey’s Ceyhan had been resumed following a two-day halt.

Pipeline exports were ceased on Monday to carry out necessary maintenance work that was originally scheduled for March. Upon consultations with Turkish pipeline operator Botas, the ministry was able to push it to April 10.

The federal North Oil Company used the window to perform technical repairs on the Kirkuk pipeline. Both parties, the regional government and the NOC, were able to restart crude transports to Ceyhan. Flows are expected to return to normal later today.
