Speaking at an event attended by Argentinian President Mauricio Macri, Dow Argentina president Gastón Remy said the 2018-2019 investment would go towards modernising the facility with new technology to boost its capacity and reliability. “We will bring the best and highest technology in to continue making every day more efficient, continue generating energy efficiency and realise the highest standards of environmental protection and safety of people, especially to be a bridge for the continued growth of Bahía Blanca,” Remy said.

The company president also said that local SMEs would be used in the modernisation and estimated that the project would create 970 new construction jobs.
