Duo spuds exploration well in Australia’s outback

SYDNEY, August 13, 2021 – Falcon Energy Oil & Gas and Origin Energy have spudded a shale exploration well on the Beetaloo sub-basin in Northern Territory, Australia, the companies said on Thursday.
Exploration works are being carried out through a joint venture between Falcon and Origin Energy’s fully owned subsidiary, Origin Energy B2.
The Velkerri 76 vertical pilot well aims to discover gas in the south-eastern flank of the sub-basin, which is predicted to be rich in gas liquids.
