Eni’s Nigeria refinery revamp deal in doubt
Nigeria The body voted to halt the agreement on the grounds that it was insufficiently transparent. The Senate will now work to establish a committee to investigate the award of the repair, operate and maintenance work.
Reports on talks between Oando and Agip first surfaced earlier this month. Eni was also expected to announce an memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources on the construction of a 150,000-bpd greenfield refinery, according to minister Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu.
