Ex Petrofac CEO founds UK offshore wind company

LONDON, October 29, 2021 – A new wind-power company has been formed called Venterra Group, which has acquired offshore technology companies Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions, Osbit and FoundOcean, the conglomerate announced on Thursday.
The three businesses will combine their expertise to service offshore wind developers and operators.
Venterra Group plans to acquire, partner and invest in companies across the windfarm sector through an initial investment of USD 344 million made in cash and issue of shares by mid-2022.
The company’s executive chairman, Ayman Asfari, established UK’s oilfield services provider Petrofac in 1991.
