Ghana oil tanker drivers call off strike

ACCRA, September 26, 2018 – The Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union has called of its announced strike, local media reported Tuesday.

 

The union met to protest at the Tema Oil Refinery but confirmed the end of the strike after meeting with representatives of the National Petroleum Authority, Ghana Web reported.

The cancellation came a day after the drivers announced the planned action.

The drivers claimed the Petroleum Producers Transportation Delivery Retail and Loss Control manual had not been fully implemented, impacting their income and working conditions.
