Harbour awards Maersk UK North Sea drilling contract

LONDON, August 19, 2021 – Maersk Drilling has signed a contract with Harbour Energy for a jackup rig for three wells in the UK’s North Sea, the drilling company announced on Thursday.
The Maersk Innovator will drill the development wells on offshore Block 28/9.
Works will commence in December 2021.
The jackup rig is currently warm stacked in Grenaa, Denmark.
“We believe the Innovator’s high-specification and technical capabilities are an ideal match for this work scope, including the rig’s large deck area, offline capabilities and capacity for deploying subsea trees,” says Morten Kelstrup, COO of Maersk Drilling.
