India’s Kalpataru wins EPC contracts from Aramco

RIYADH, March 5, 2024 – Kalpataru Projects International has won three EPC packages from Saudi Aramco for the third expansion phase of Saudi Arabia’s Master Gas System Network (MGS‐3), the Indian company announced on Tuesday.

The contract’s scope includes the laying of more than 800 kilometres of lateral gas pipeline.

Aramco’s MGS‐3 project aims to expand the existing gas network to supply various industrial consumers in the region, growing the country’s overall gas consumption.

The company, formerly known as Kalpataru Power Transmission, is among the largest EPC players in India. Beyond oil and gas pipelines, its activities cover transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, water supply and irrigation, railways and urban
mobility.

The contracts’ value was not specified.

Saudi Arabia’s natural gas production and its consumption both stood at 120.4 bcm as of 2022.
