Iraq prequalifies 26 bidders

BAGHDAD, January 12, 2018 – Iraq will allow 26 companies to bid for oil and gas blocks near its borders with Kuwait and Iran, the Iraqi Ministry of Oil said in a statement on its website on Friday.

Five companies were recently added to the list, while 21 others were already on it, the statement added.

Nine blocks will be put on offer, with terms to be finalised by the beginning of June and bids to be opened on June 21.
