Larsen & Toubro wins major gas pipeline contract

Indian multinational EPC player Larsen & Toubro has secured a major onshore gas pipeline project from a client in the Middle East, the company announced on Thursday.

The contract was recently awarded to L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH), Larsen & Toubro’s hydrocarbon vertical, and comprises EPC of two new 56-inch pipelines along with associated scraper receivers and launchers and main line isolation valve stations running parallel to the existing pipeline corridor.

Larsen & Toubro classifies “major” projects as those valued between USD 603 million-1.2 billion. The name of the client was not disclosed.

This is the largest cross-country pipeline EPC project awarded to Larsen & Toubro to date.
