Letter of award for Malaysian PBJV Group

KUALA LUMPUR, May 26, 2015 – On Monday, PBJV Group, a subsidiary of investment holding company Malaysian Barakah Offshore Petroleum, was given a letter of award from Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum for supplying operational pigs and pigging accessories. This concession is for the operational maintenance of oil and gas pipelines located in Malaysia’s offshore Sarawak and Sabah.

The agreed upon contract will last for three years until April 2018 with the option of extending for an additional year. This concession is for the operation and maintenance of oil and gas pipelines.

No value for the letter of award has been set yet as Shell will issue work orders depending on demand. This agreement follows the company’s one-year letter of award with Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company to provide maintenance services in Sabah.

Pigging and its related accessories help to clean and regulate the flow of oil and gas through pipelines. The tools prevent buildup, which can lead to blockages in the pipeline.
