Malaysian services giant rebrands

Malaysia’s SapuraKencana Petroleum has officially rebranded to itself to Sapura Energy, the oilfield services company announced on Tuesday.

In a statement on its website, Sapura Energy said the move had been approved Companies Commission of Malaysia. Without elaborating, the company said the new name was adopted in “anticipating market needs.”

The rebranding effort was accompanied by a new logo, which, according to Sapura Energy, reflects the company’s “transformation into a fully integrated upstream oil and gas solutions and services provider in the energy sector.”
