Engineering and construction company McDermott has announced in a Thursday statement it has been awarded an offshore brownfield engineering, procurement, construction and installation project by state-owned Qatar Petroleum.

McDermott snatches jacket contract in Qatar

DOHA, October 9, 2015 – Engineering and construction company McDermott has announced in a Thursday statement it has been awarded an offshore brownfield engineering, procurement, construction and installation project by state-owned Qatar Petroleum.

The scope of contract includes four wellhead jackets offshore Doha. Two of the planned projects will be installed in the Bul Hanine field with completion slated for December 2016. The expected completion date for the remaining jackets is July 2017.

 

The company’s Dubai team will carry out the detailed design engineering and procurement and construction part of the contract.

Together, the four structures will weigh 3,495 tonnes. The financial details of the contract have not yet been disclosed, but the company will be able to report revenues from the project during the third quarter.
