SYDNEY , November 2, 2015 – Monadelphous has been awarded a number of contracts by clients including BP and upstream independent Woodside Petroleum worth a total of $150 million, the Australian engineering group announced in a Monday statement.

BP has awarded Monadelphous a three-year contract for capital works and maintenance services at the supermajor’s Kwinana refinery located in western Australia. The refinery has a production capacity of 146,000 barrels of oil per day and supplies clean fuel products such as petrol, jet, diesel and avgas.

Woodside has also handed over two 12-month extension contracts to Monadelphous. The first includes an extension for a maintenance and shutdown services contract for the Karratha gas plant in western Australia. This contract is part of Woodside’s life extension programme for the gas plant, following the company’s newly struck two-year services deal with UK contractor Cape.

Monadelphous also received a one-year extension on a maintenance contract for Woodside’s Pluto LNG project, which produces the largest amount of LNG in the country with a production capacity of 4.3 million tonnes a year.
