Newrest takes over Delta catering operations in USA’s Atlanta hub
ATLANTA, August 12, 2025 – Newrest will take over Delta Air Lines’ commissary operations at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport this autumn, replacing Unifi Aviation, international media reported on Monday.
Delta described the shift as a strategic step to ensure catering operations remain efficient and globally aligned. The change is expected to consolidate processes under Newrest’s integrated catering and logistics model.
The deal strengthens Newrest’s position in the US aviation catering market, adding Delta’s busiest hub to its portfolio. The France-headquartered company will handle the supply of food, beverages and in-flight materials for all Delta departures from Atlanta.
Hartsfield–Jackson is Delta’s largest global hub, serving as a key connecting point for its extensive domestic and international network. The airport handles hundreds of daily departures and plays a central role in Delta’s position as one of the world’s largest carriers.
Newrest operates in 53 countries, providing airline catering, onboard logistics, cleaning and supply chain management. The Group serves more than 1.5 million meals per day worldwide. In the USA, it services major carriers at key hubs, offering standardised operations across large and complex networks.
