Mexico’s AMIGO LNG awards EPC contract to COMSA Marine
SONORA, August 12, 2025 – AMIGO LNG has awarded the EPC contract for its marine facilities at its 7.8-million-tpy LNG export terminal in Guaymas, Sonora to COMSA Marine, the project developer said on Friday.
The contract covers detailed engineering, construction and commissioning of the LNG jetty, berthing and mooring facilities, and associated utilities, including quad-berth capacity with LNG loading arms exceeding 15,000 cubic metres per hour. LNG Alliance CEO Dr Muthu Chezhian said, “Awarding the EPC contract for our marine facilities represents a key achievement in our project schedule.”
COMSA Marine president Ruben Alamo said the project would be delivered to the highest international standards and create lasting regional value. AMIGO LNG aims to begin LNG exports by Q3 2028, with reduced shipping distances cutting voyage times by up to 35%.
