NMDC Energy and Baker Hughes sign localisation MoU for Saudi Arabia
RIYADH, November 14, 2025 – Abu Dhabi-based NMDC Energy has signed an MoU with US-based Baker Hughes to localise offshore products and services in Saudi Arabia, local media reported on Wednesday.
The partnership will see Baker Hughes utilise NMDC Energy’s 400,000-square-metre fabrication yard in Ras Al Khair to manufacture and service offshore equipment, building on an earlier collaboration agreement signed at ADIPEC 2025 to localise selected gas technology products.
The new collaboration will cover projects including an emergency pipeline repair system and a logistics base for flexible pipelines.
NMDC Energy also signed additional partnerships during the conference to expand its EPC offerings in response to growing sector demand.
“As a strategic enabler of Saudi Arabia’s energy sector through global partnerships, NMDC Energy is committed to finding new pathways toward increased localisation in Saudi Arabia, supporting economic growth, job creation, and diversification,” said NMDC Energy CEO Ahmed Al Dhaheri.
The company’s Ras Al-Khair yard was inaugurated in 2025 and with a production capacity of 40,000 tonnes per year to support offshore and onshore fabrication projects.
Part of the NMDC Group, NMDC Energy is an EPC contractor that offers integrated services for fabrication, installation, pipe laying, project management and commissioning. The company has completed more than 1,200 projects.
