Oando in refinery refurbishment talks

On Monday, Nigeria’s Oando said it was in talks with Agip on the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt refinery. The Eni division has been called upon to help restore capacity to design levels of 210,000 bpd.

The Port Harcourt plant currently operates at 30% capacity, Oando said in a notice on Monday, adding that the discussions are expected to be finalised in July.

Eni is also expected to shortly announce an MoU with the government on the construction of a 150,000-bpd greenfield refinery, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu said last week.
