Offshore contracts awarded in Brazil
RIO DE JANEIRO, July 17, 2018 – Brazilian NOC Petrobras has awarded TechnipFMC a three-year master services agreement for subsea work, the engineering firm said in a statement on Tuesday.
The contract, which includes a two-year extension option, will see TechnipFMC provide services including maintenance, inspection, technical assistance and end-fitting retermination for flexible subsea pipelines and umbilicals. Additionally, the company will provide engineering services and installation support.
“[This agreement] reinforces our long-term commitment to Petrobras’ ongoing and future operations,” the company’s subsea business president, Hallvard Hasselknippe, said in the statement. “We value our long-term, collaborative relationship with Petrobras, which we will continue to strengthen through strong execution with high focus on safety, quality and efficiency.”
In other news from Brazil, Japan’s Modec has granted a contract to Prosafe for the provision of an accommodation vessel to support an undisclosed FPSO project, Prosafe said in a press release on Tuesday. The contract will begin in September 2018 and run for 200 days, with an optional 15-day extension.
