Petronas inks deal on two Gabon blocks

LIBREVILLE, August 5, 2019 – Petronas has signed an agreement for two exploration blocks in Gabon, international media reported over the weekend.
The Malaysian NOC is the first company to sign an exploration and production deal with the country in five years, Bloomberg reported. The agreement covers offshore blocks F12 and F13, which are expected to produce 200,000 bopd after development.
The deal follows the enactment of the country’s new hydrocarbons code, which is aimed at attracting more investment.
