Pirate attack attempted offshore Nigeria
Nigeria According to the International Maritime Bureau report, the pirates arrived by speedboat and were armed with AK-47s. They attempted to hook an aluminium ladder to the tanker’s railing seven times and fired on the vessel before moving away. A Nigerian Navy vessel was dispatched to the location. The crew and vessel were not harmed in the incident.
