Rosneft eyes Azerbaijan offshore exploration

BAKU, October 17, 2018 – Rosneft has purchased seismic data worth USD 1.1 million covering the Azeri portion of the Caspian Sea, local media reported on Tuesday.
The Russian oil giant has also signed a deal with Azeri NOC SOCAR to study joint exploration in the Goshadash block in the Absheron Peninsula, news agency Interfax added.
The news came as gas exports from the Shah Deniz Stage 1 project offshore Azerbaijan in the first nine months of 2018 have risen 7.4% year-on-year, a separate Reuters report said.
