Saipem wins contracts in Guyana and Australia
Italy The first contract was awarded by Scarborough Joint Venture for export trunkline coating and pipeline installation to connect the onshore gas plant to the offshore Scarborough gasfield in Australia.
Scarborough Joint Venture is owned by Australian energy company Woodside with 73.5% shares, with similar entity BHP Petroleum holding the remaining stake.
A second contract was awarded by ExxonMobil for EPCI works on the offshore Yellowtail development on the Stabroek block in Guyana.
ExxonMobil’s project includes six drilling centres linked to a central FPSO. The vessel will have a capacity to process 250,000 bopd and 12.7 mcm (450 mcf) of gas per day.
First oil is expected in 2025 or 2026.
