MILAN, November 14, 2024 – Saipem has been awarded a USD 1.9-billion EPCI contract by TotalEnergies EP Suriname B.V. for the subsea development of the GranMorgu project offshore Suriname, Saipem announced on Thursday.
GranMorgu is located in Block 58, approximately 150 kilometres off the coast of Suriname, and is the country’s first major subsea development. The project is expected to last five years and aims to expand production on the block through a system of subsea wells connected to an FPSO. First oil is expected in 2028.
Saipem’s scope of work entails the commissioning and start-up of approximately 100 kilometres of subsea production flowlines, 90 kilometres of water and gas injection lines, and the installation of associated structures.

Saipem will execute the project in co-operation with TechnipFMC, which is in charge of the subsea production system and flexible risers and umbilical equipment packages.
