Sapura secures contracts in Mexico, Malaysia

Multinational EPC services company Sapura Energy has received contracts worth MYR 1.75 billion (USD 417 million) for work in Mexico and Malaysia, the company said in a Wednesday press statement.

Sapura has been contracted by Pan American Energy’s Mexican subsidiary Hokchi Energy to carry out engineering, procurement, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning services for the offshore Hokchi field’s central wellhead and satellite platforms.

For Eni Mexico, the company will be responsible for engineering, transport, construction, installation and pre-commissioning for onshore pipelines, sealines, fibre-optic cables and the Miztón field wellhead platform in Contract Area 1.

The company’s subsidiary Sapura Subsea Services will also carry out pan-Malaysia underwater services for Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia, Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company, Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company and Murphy Sarawak Oil and Murphy Sabah Oil. Work under the five-year contract will include vessel and remotely operated vehicle provision, as well as inspection, diving and repair services.
