SapuraKencana wins USD 117 million in contracts

SapuraKencana has acquired three contracts with for a combined value of USD 117 million for construction, engineering and drilling services, the Malaysian oilfield services company announced today.

The first contract is for hook-up and commissioning works of the second phase of the Kinabalu non-associated gas development offshore Sabah. The contract period is for around eight months and will begin in Q1 2016.

The second contract is to assist in drilling with the SKD T20 rig offshore Côte d’Ivoire with Malaysian companies Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum, subsidiaries of Shell. This contract is for 18 months with the option of an 18-month extension.

The last contract was awarded by American exploration and production company Hess for EPC services for a subsea isolation value system in the North Malay Basin. The project has already begun and is expected to be completed in Q1 2017.
