SapuraKencana bags multi-year contracts

SapuraKencana has signed agreements to the tune of USD 382 million, the Malaysian oilfield services major said Thursday.

The majority of the work will be executed through its joint venture with GE Oil & Gas. The entity will provide maintenance services for compressors and gas turbines to Murphy Sarawak Oil for a duration of 10 years. The joint venture will work on Petronas’ floating LNG vessel, the PFLNG 1, specifically on the GE-provided equipment, such as generators, aeroderivative gas turbines and centrifugal compressors.

Elsewhere, SapuraKencana saw its drilling contracts with BP in Trinidad and Tobago extended. The company’s semi-submersible tender assist drilling rig SKD Jaya will now remain in use until April 2016.
