SBM Offshore announces Liza FPSO award
ROTTERDAM, June 22, 2017 – SBM Offshore will be constructing, installing and operating the floating production, storage and offloading vessel for ExxonMobil’s Liza development offshore Guyana, the Dutch company announced on Thursday.
The turn-key contract with the US major will see SBM Offshore provide an FPSO with a capacity to produce as many as 120,000 bopd. The unit’s associated gas treatment capacity will be in the range of 4.8 mcm (170 mcf) per day. The vessel, a converted very large crude carrier, can store up to 1.6 million barrels.

Last Friday, ExxonMobil announced its final investment decision for development of the Liza field in the Stabroek block.
