The memorandum of understanding with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) subsidiary covers development plans for the Rag Sefid, Parsi and Shadegan fields. Work there would be governed by Iran’s new petroleum contract, according to Shana, the Ministry of Petroleum’s news portal.
In other news, NIOC was rocked by a crash of one of its helicopters in the Caspian Sea on Saturday that killed all five passengers aboard. Three bodies were recovered by a Red Crescent Society rescue team in the aftermath of the incident, reportedly caused my a technical malfunction.
