Senex strikes oil in South Australia
BRISBANE, August 15, 2018 – Well Breguet-1 in South Australia’s onshore Cooper Basin has struck 5.7 metres of net oil pay, operator Senex Energy announced on Wednesday.
“We are delighted to have made this oil discovery from the first well of our FY19 drilling campaign,” said Ian Davies, the managing director and CEO of Senex. “The firm ten well FY19 campaign presents an exciting opportunity to drive growth and value from our western flank acreage, with a mix of exploration, appraisal and horizontal development wells.”
The company operates PEL 104, the block where the discovery was made, with a 60% interest, with partner Beach Energy holding 40%.
