Shell seeks semi-sub for Trinidad project

PORT OF SPAIN, July 17, 2018 – Super-major Shell is calling interested parties to submit proposals for the provision of a semi-submersible rig for an offshore drilling campaign in Trinidad and Tobago, international media reported Monday.

 

Shell has stipulated that the rig be able to drill to 2,130 metres in water depths of 140-460 metres. The company intends to drill three exploration wells and six development wells between September 2019 and March 2021.

The location of the campaign has not been disclosed.
