Siemens plans $200-mln Ghana power plant

ACCRA, April 20, 2018 – Siemens will invest USD 200 million in a 660-MW power plant in Ghana, local media reported Thursday.

 

“We are very prepared to contribute innovative solutions to Ghana’s energy sector. This combined cycle power plant will see Ghanaians enjoy highly efficient power,” Andreas Pistauer, executive vice-president for Siemens Power and Gas Africa, was quoted as saying by the Ghanaian Times

The combined-cycle plant is expected to be completed by 2023, he added.
