SLB OneSubsea wins works on Equinor’s Troll project
Norway OSLO, May 27, 2024 – OneSubsea has won a “sizeable” contract to expand its works on Equinor’s Troll project in the North Sea, SLB announced on Friday.
The company – a joint venture between SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea7 – will provide solutions for Phase 3 of the Troll project in order to accelerate field delivery of the subsea tieback to existing infrastructure.
The value of the contract, which leverages an existing long-term contract for the execution of the second stage of Phase 3, was not specified.
Also on Friday, Equinor unveiled a planned investment of USD 1.14 billion to further develop infrastructure in the Troll West gas province.
Early this month, SLB OneSubsea and Subsea7 signed a long-term strategic collaboration agreement with Equinor and began work on two of its deepwater projects.
Under the deal, the two subsea players, which partner as the Subsea Integration Alliance, will step in to Equinor projects at an early stage as contractors, participating in joint concept studies and collaborating on development.
They have commenced work on joint concept studies for Equinor’s Wisting field off Norway and the Bay Du Nord project off Canada’s east coast.
