Seatrium triumphs with $8-billion deal for FPSOs
RIO DE JANEIRO, May 27, 2024 – Seatrium has won a USD 8.16-billion contract from Brazil’s Petrobras for the newbuild supply of two FPSOs, the Singaporean company announced on Saturday.
The FPSOs will be deployed in the Atapu and Sépia fields, located in the eastern part of the Santos Basin, around 200 kilometres offshore Rio de Janeiro.
Seatrium secured the deal for works on the FPSOs, P-84 and P-85, as operator of Atapu1 and Sepia2 consortiums. The vessels will each have an oil production capacity of 225,000 bopd as well as a gas processing capacity of 10 mcm (353.2 mcf) per day.
