Subsea7 wins large EPCI contract offshore Norway
Norway STAVANGER, July 18, 2025 – Subsea7 has been awarded a “large” EPCI contract by Equinor for the Fram Sør development offshore Norway, the company said on Thursday.
Subsea7 defines a “large” contract as being between USD 300 million and USD 500 million.
The scope includes EPCI of subsea structures and 53 kilometres of production, gas lift and water injection lines, along with installation of the umbilical system. Engineering work begins immediately in Norway and the UK, with offshore activities planned for 2026-2028.
The Fram Sør area lies 10-30 kilometres north of the Troll C platform and will be tied into existing Fram and Troll C infrastructure. The contract follows a FEED award granted in January 2025 that defined the project’s technical basis.
“This award continues our long-standing collaboration with Equinor… We look forward to working closely with Equinor to deliver the Fram Sør development safely and efficiently,” Subsea7 vice-president for Norway Erik Femsteinevik said.
Contract award remains subject to authority approval of the plan for development and operations.
Subsea7 is a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry. The company specialises in subsea engineering, construction and installation solutions, serving clients in oil and gas and renewable energy sectors across more than 30 countries.
