TechnipFMC bags Brazil deal

LONDON, September 28, 2017 – Statoil has awarded TechnipFMC an EPCI contract offshore Brazil, the engineering major said on Thursday.

The work at the Peregrino phase 2 project in the Campos Basin, scheduled to start in 2019, covers the installation of a subsea pipeline connection that would link a new production platform to the existing platform on site, the statement added. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

“We are extremely honoured and proud to have been selected to execute this project, in addition to the previously awarded surface trees package for Peregrino phase 2,” said Hallvard Hasselknippe, TechnipFMC’s president for subsea projects. “This reinforces the long-standing relationship between Statoil and TechnipFMC, which we will continue to strengthen through future Brazilian projects.”
