TechnipFMC lands EPCI deal in Norway

STAVANGER, June 30, 2023 – TechnipFMC has signed an EPCI contract with OMV (Norge) for its Berling gas development project in Norway, the multinational technology provider announced on Thursday.
The company will design and install the subsea production systems, controls, pipelines, and umbilicals for the development located on the PL 644 block on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The deal is worth between USD 75 million and USD 250 million.
Construction of the subsea installation is expected to begin in Q2 2024.
The Berling project involves a four-slot subsea production system that will connect via a 24-kilometre pipeling to Equinor’s Aasgard B processing platform.
The project is OMV (Norge)’s first project in Norway as operator.
OMV (Norge) holds a 30% operating stake in the PL 644 concession alongside partners Equinor with a 40% stake and DNO Norge with a 30% stake.
