TechnipFMC, Malaysian firm in Aramco offshore deal

RIYADH, December 27, 2018 – Saudi Arabia’s Aramco has awarded a long-term agreement (LTA) to a consortium of the UK’s TechnipFMC and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering.
Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings, which announced the deal on Wednesday in a regulatory filing.
The LTA, signed on November 26, will last for six years, with a possible extension of up to six additional years. It will cover various offshore works including engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation of offshore facilities in support of Aramco’s Offshore Maintain Potential Programme.
