TGS launches 3D-seismic survey offshore Nigeria

LAGOS, February 27, 2026 – TGS has announced the launch of the Nigeria Laide multi-client 3D survey offshore Nigeria, covering approximately 11,700 square kilometres, the company said on Friday.

The survey, acquired in partnership with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission and SeaSeis Geophysical, is located in the Outer Fold & Thrust Belt of the eastern Niger Delta. It is designed to support hydrocarbons exploration in one of Nigeria’s most prolific regions.

The project will deploy GeoStreamer technology and advanced imaging solutions to help operators address complex deepwater geological structures. The data is expected to enable more confident evaluation of prospects.
