TotalEnergies restarts gas production from Denmark hub

Denmark

COPENHAGEN, March 22, 2024 – TotalEnergies has restarted production from the Tyra hub in Denmark’s North Sea waters after completing a major redevelopment project, the company said on Friday.

The hub will produce 5.7 mcm (201 mcf) per day of natural gas at plateau, as well as 22,000 boepd of condensate.

Its return to production restores Denmark’s status as self-sufficient and a net exporter of natural gas.

TotalEnergies operates the Tyra field on behalf of Danish Underground Consortium, a partnership between TotalEnergies (43.2%), BlueNord (36.8%) and Nordsøfonden (20%).

“The new Tyra leverages state-of-the-art digital solutions and technological innovations to produce more efficiently and with 30% lower greenhouse gas emissions than the former facilities,” TotalEnergies president of exploration and production Nicolas Terraz said.
