Wood awarded Australia maintenance contract by ExxonMobil

MELBOURNE, January 20, 2025 – Wood has won a contract from ExxonMobil to provide onshore and offshore maintenance in Australia, the global consulting and engineering player said on Monday.
The contract scope includes maintenance services and shutdown support to optimise operational performance of the Gippsland Basin Joint Venture’s offshore assets in the Bass Strait and the Longford and Long Island Point facilities.
The Gippsland Basin is an onshore and offshore play located in southeastern Australia that ranks among the country’s most prolific oil and gas provinces.
Esso Australia Resources operates the Gippsland Basin Joint Venture as a 50-50 venture with Woodside Energy.
Wood’s long-term maintenance contract comes into effect this month. The value of the deal was not specified, but the company termed the contract “significant.”
The company was recently awarded a five-year contract renewal to continue delivering brownfield EPC solutions across the same Gippsland Basin assets.
