Zamil Offshore enters Norway with Remøy Shipping acquisition

AL KHOBAR, December 15, 2025 – Saudi Arabia’s Zamil Offshore Services Company (ZOSCO) has acquired Norway’s Remøy Shipping, marking its first expansion into the Norwegian offshore market, sector media reported on Friday.

Remøy Shipping is an offshore services specialist with an owned fleet of platform supply vessels (PSVs). The family company said the sale was motivated by the need for a new industrial partner and fresh capital to keep the company competitive.

ZOSCO was selected as the preferred partner among other companies that expressed interest based on the strength of its capital base and experience in offshore support for the energy industry. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Remøy will retain its Norwegian base and operations under ZOSCO’s ownership and will continue to pursue business growth in offshore energy services within the Norwegian maritime cluster.

Headquartered in Al Khobar, Zamil Offshore is one of Saudi Arabia’s largest offshore service providers. The company operates a fleet of more than 60 vessels that includes PSVs, construction support vessels, anchor handlers and lift barges.
