Wison wins FEED for Nigeria-bound FLNG vessel
SHANGHAI, December 20, 2024 – Wison New Energies has been awarded a FEED contract by Ace Gas & FLNG for an FLNG vessel and associated power barge to be deployed in Nigeria, Wison announced on Thursday.
The FLNG vessel will be moored approximately 10 kilometres offshore in water depths up to 20 metres. It will have a liquefaction capacity of approximately 3 million tonnes per year and is expected to receive and process up to 14.2 mcm (500 mcf) of natural gas per day.
Gas will be sourced from multiple fields in and around the OML 109 development, owned and operated by Atlas Petroleum and where the Ace Energy Group holds a field technical services agreement.
The associated 230-MW power barge will receive natural gas from the FLNG vessel for power generation and will supply electricity to other Ace Gas & FLNG gas assets and gas processing facilities.
Wison had already completed the pre-FEED for the project in early 2024.
