Drydocks World delivers FPSO for production offshore Nigeria
LAGOS, November 10, 2025 – Drydocks World has completed the conversion and delivery of the FPSO EMEM to support production at Nigeria’s Okwok oilfield, the company said on Monday.
The vessel was converted at Drydocks World’s Dubai facility under a contract from World Carrier Corporation on behalf of Oriental Energy Resources and will serve Petroleum Mining Lease 15.
The project included major structural upgrades, 19 integrated topside modules and a full marine systems overhaul.
The FPSO EMEM will process up to 70,000 barrels of total liquids per day, handle 15 mcf (424,000 cubic metres) of gas daily and store up to 1 million barrels of oil. It is designed to operate continuously for up to 15 years without drydocking, with production scheduled to begin in Q1 2026.
“The EMEM FPSO represents a powerful convergence of global engineering excellence and local ambition,” Drydocks World CEO Captain Rado Antolovic said.
Drydocks World is a subsidiary of the UAE’s DP World and provides marine and offshore engineering services, including ship repair, vessel conversion and FPSO construction. It has delivered more than 30 FPSO projects and remains a key infrastructure provider to the African offshore energy market.
